As promised, we will post handy tips for EventPro users on our blog - stuff that will help you get through your day a little more efficiently.If you often host the same kind of events, and find yourself adding the same items to events over and over, you should try using Packages. Packages allow you to group together a set of commonly used resources so you can pull all of those items into an event at once.
For example, if clients often hold business meetings at your facility, you can create a special “Meeting” package, which could include tables, chairs, coffee service, hire of a setup crewperson, etc. You could set the number of chairs and coffee service to automatically adjust to the attendance of each event. You're not committed to the exact contents of the package every time you use it. You can add, subtract and edit specific items for an event if required.
You have several options for pricing the package: you can set a flat rate for the entire package, use a per-person charge, or you can simply use the prices of the individual items.
Try it out and see if it saves you some time. If you need a little extra help setting up packages, there are thorough instructions in the EventPro User Manual at Chapter 1: Setting Up EventPro, Step 9: Resources, Package Configuration.
